A Call to Compassion: Supporting Afghan Refugees Through Faith and Action

Guest: Ginger L. Franklin, PhD.

Ginger is a dedicated educator, author, and humanitarian with a passion for religious studies, border and migration literature, and ESL instruction. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies, a Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in Border and Migration Literature, and a Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies. She currently serving as a Case Manager for Afghan Allies.

She will talk about her experience working with Afghan evacuees and what people can do to help.

Her notable works include: The Politics of Leaving: A Firsthand Account of the Afghan Evacuation,
575: Haiku Every Day, Terra Llantera: Placemaking and Finding Home in the Borderlands, and India Lately.
