Timeless Dance: A Story of Change and Loss, a book talk, Karen Shiffman Lateiner will discuss how she came to write her memoir, and why she decided to publish it.   Throughout the book, which is part memoir, part biography, and primer on gender diversity, She takes the reader on her personal journey understanding the gender transition of her child, and not long after, coming to terms with her newly transitioned daughter's death.   She will touch on topics including family traditions, coping with life changes, specifically changes and losses, and educating others as it relates to the book and her personal story.  She will answer all questions candidly, with the goal of facilitating discussion amongst participants.
