Open to the Public*
All Are Welcome
*Until we resume in-person dinners the Havdalah event is Open to the Public.
Guest Rabbi Eva Cohen, Ritual Leader of Or Emet—the Minnesota Congregation for Humanistic Judaism, will present a program on Reproductive Justice.
The basis of the Jewish approach to reproductive freedom—the story of an accidental miscarriage that teaches us much about how Judaism does, and doesn’t, regard the personhood of a fetus—can be found in the Mishpatim or the Rules in the Torah.
Repro Shabbat is an opportunity for congregations, organizations, and communities to celebrate the critical importance of reproductive health access, reproductive rights, and reproductive justice, and to learn more about Judaism’s approach to these issues.
. This is in conjunction with a national program offered by National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW.)
